I hope someone can help....... I've taken photos of everything but unfortunately it's not possible to upload photos here so I can't show you ......

I've got a desktop with XP and Firefox 10.0.2. With the big 1" icons for the back, forward, stop, reload, home, bookmarks, print etc. and each icon has the name under it .... so it's easy to just look for the one you want ......

I just purchased a Windows 7 laptop and installed the Firefox, however the Firefox browser page has none of the big icons. OK ..... I've gone in and dragged various items from the "customise toolbar" option ..... but they are only 1/4" and have no name under the icon to tell you what the icon does. They appear on the very RHS of the white URL box and when I'm dragging certain functions to the toolbar from the "customise" popup, it will show that I've got 7 items/icons on the toolbar, but then when I click "done" there are only 5 icons on the edge of the screen.

So basically my questions are .......

Can I have bigger 1" icons like under the XP Firefox? The ones with the names under them ......

And the icons appearing on the RHS of the Windows 7 Firefox .... what I set up as 7 icons becomes only 5 when I leave the icon editing pop up ........

Know what I mean?

thanks Vivek - no - the small icons wasn't ticked. the "choose icon & text" at least labels each icon so I know what it means .... no disabled add-on either.

thanks cor-el for the large themes ..... good idea however most of them don't work with vr. 10.0.2  :-(

Hope someone else can help me ........ please!!!

Hi,

You may have to make sure that Use small icons is not enabled in the Customize mini-window, and on the left of that you can also try to choose Icons and Text. Please also check if any add-ons were disabled by the update in Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons > Extensions. You can also try to rearrange the icons to ensure that they are not being hidden behind the others.

You can also look at large themes if you need bigger icons on the toolbars.

You can check for problems with the localstore.rdf file.

Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB).

Thanks for the replies - after putting in the smaller icons but most importantly with the labels underneath them, I'm OK with them being on the RHS of the screen etc ........

I use the 2 computers interchangebly so I'll just get used to using the 2 different versions of Firefox on the 2 different computers.

No worries.

Thanks again
