So I ditched Chrome for various reasons, and I want a fresh start with Firefox.

I would like to have Firefox save my files in different locations based on the file type. For example, the Microsoft Office files and PDF files in a "Docs downloads" folder, and videos in a "Downloaded Videos" etc...

I went through the settings and all i can change is the action after downloading such as "open, save, open with: ". Is there a way to change the save locations? I'm ready to copy all the .filename stuff if it means that I can make everything nice and tidy in my downloads. by the way I'm using the latest version of Firefox on a Windows 10 Pro. Thanks in advance :)

There WAS an add-on that did ust that. But then came Quantum Firefox  :-(

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.
