Hi, I have made a bit of a mess. My Email address is the exact same email address of someone else I've never met, apart from one letter. Now, I have just received my new computer, set up Firefox and when prompted for the email I accidentally typed in the incorrect Email address. I have since created a new account with my correct Email, however I do not want to sync as it says that it would be synced with the other persons account... And obviously I do not want this. How can I remove/prevent the other address from being 'synced' with my account please?

You can't confirm that account to activate it - i.e., when the email address isn't yours and you don't get return email that Sync sends for confirmation and then final activation. The 'system' is set up to limit exposure due to mistakes such as using a wrong email address.

Even if that other person would "confirm" there is no way that they would ever get your Sync data - your data isn't uploaded to Sync from your device until after the confirmation and final activation.

Can you access that account here even if it hasn't been verified?

If that is possible then try to delete the account.

You can set up a new Sync account with the correct email address.
