Some hyperlinks just don't do anything when clicked?
Hello guys :)
Love the browser real great Shtuff but I seem to be having this problem lately where some hyperlinks dont react when clicked (As in it's as if I'm not even clicking them at all) but luckly I can right click them and open in new window and that works fine
Here is a link I can't open (This problem persists even after closing firefox and seems to effect nonspecific links): https://www.quora.com/Whenever-I-click-on-any-link-or-sometimes-just-a-random-click-opens-a-new-tab-of-an-advertisement-website-How-do-I-stop-this
Please help its really annoying <3 :(
(not that its stopping me from accessing them just that half the stuff i click just doesnt open the fist time and I end up with a million different windows open lol)
Many Thanks to the kind soul who replys :)

Wow big revelation!
So clicking the link from this page works but if I try clicking the hyperlink from Googles page it doesn't work? This isn't just a problem on the Google search engine though it's happened on wikipedia as well.
If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, DuckDuckGo PE, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block content.
- make sure your extensions and filters are updated to the latest version

Firefox shows a purple shield instead of a gray shield at the left end of the location/address bar in case Enhanced Tracking Protection is blocking content. You can click shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection. You can check the Web Console for related messages about blocked content.

You can try these steps in case of issues with webpages:
You can reload webpage(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies for websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Settings).
"Remove the Cookies" for websites that cause problems:
- Settings -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data: "Manage Data"
"Clear the Cache":
- Settings -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> Cached Web Content: Clear
Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window
I tried clearing my cache but it didn't do anything other than mean I need to log into everything again lol.
I have disabled a few extensions hopefully that helps but I have had them up and running long before this problem began :(
