Cannot open addressbooks (3 .mab files copied and pasted the files from the old computer to the new computer)
Back on Jan. 9 my work email disappeared from my desktop. I use Thunderbird for my work email and the icon on my desktop disappeared and when I tried to reopen Thunderbird it will not let me open an existing account. I do not want to create a new account because I need all the emails in this account. Fortunately I had my work email set up through Outlook as well but don't want it that way permanently. I am getting a new computer and have been able to finally (not an easy process) get Thunderbird on the new computer but I cannot get it to open the correct address book. I had a Business and Personal folder of addresses. I have looked at the 3 .mab files and my addresses are there and I have copied and pasted the files from the old computer to the new computer in the correct folder but cannot seem to figure out why Thunderbird is not recognizing them. Any help is appreciated.

https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/0b5d5a1b-857a-4467-830d-5f84d0180109 has no useful information, but that is past history, your current issue is about address book. I'm changing title to match that issue
Hello Wayne, it actually is part of the problem. I need to get Thunderbird up and running on my old computer and I need to figure out how to get the address book to the new computer. Thanks
What were the names of the mab files you copied? There are only two, abook.mab and history.mab that can be copy-and-pasted as you have done. Others, which are user-defined (such as abook-1.mab) would need to be imported, using the MoreColumnsForAddresBook add-on.
Hello, I moved abook.mab and history.mab first and didn't get the correct contacts so I moved the other file impab.mab which was in the file of my old computer. If I open them all it seems this is the file which has my business contacts. Thanks for trying to help.
