How can i RESURRECT my Thunderbird E-mail Account when I forgot my password ?
I have a Thunderbird Account and have asked for the link to be sent to my e-mail account 6 times today and am not getting anything from Mozilla ? My PC went through a reset and I lost my link to my e-mail on this lap top.
How can I retrieve my account on this device ?

There is no such thing as a Thunderbird account and mozilla have nothing to do with passwords. So I'm not sure what you are talking about.
You have an email address and can set up a mail account in Thunderbird email client for that email address, so you can download emails from server. This saves you from logging on to webmail via a browser.
Email Address Passwords are created and modified via your webmail account accessed via a browser. There is usually a 'forgotten password' link to use if you cannot remember.
Then you can use Thunderbird Password Manager to remember your passwords in Thunderbird so that you do not need to enter them everytime. If you update/modify a password via webmail then you need to update the one stored in Thunderbird.
re :My PC went through a reset and I lost my link to my e-mail on this lap top. Are you using a Windows OS? If yes, can you see a 'windows.old' folder on desktop? The 'windows.old' folder should contain all your old profile data. This can be used to put old profile back into the new profile.
I presume you had to reinstall Thunderbird. When you ran it the first time a new default profile name fodler would be created and thunderbird would then ask you to create a mail account. If you wanted to use the old profile, then you would not create a mail account. Instead you would have to reinstate all the old profile data from backup or 'windows.old' folder.
If you only used imap mail accounts then all emails are stored on server, so it is just as easy to create another imap mail account and connect to server to see emails.
If you can see 'windows.old' folder: Open 'windows.old' folder and check for this location:
- C:\Users\<Windows user name>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\<Profile name>\
Does the 'Thunderbird' folder contain a 'Profiles' folder? Does the 'Profiles' folder contain a 'profile name' folder, usually called 'xxxxxxxx.default' where the x's are letters and numbers?
Appdata folders and files are usually hidden. You may need to make hidden files and folders visible first.
The 'profile name' folder (xxxxxxxx.default) contains all the files and folders to do with preferences, mail accounts, emails, address books etc.
Make sure Thunderbird is closed. access 'windows.old' folder: Copy the Contents (all files and folders) in the 'profile name' folder. They will look similar to the image below and will include a 'Mail' folder.
Paste all of those files and folders into the new default profile name folder overwriting all the default files and folders. The new default location is the same, but not in the 'windows.old' folder :)
- C:\Users\<Windows user name>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\Profile name
then start up Thunderbird. It will use the new default profile that now contains all the old profile data.
