Hello,

For some reason only the body of our website (calvarytucson.com) is blank on Firefox, but is not blank on Chrome, IE, or Safari. Do you know why this might be? I assume it's something with our website, but it's strange because it's not creating the same problem on other browsers. I've also tried it on several different Mac and Windows computers and get the same problem.

I recently added some HTML and a little PHP between the head tags in our header.php file, but I've quadruple checked the code to make sure there are no errors, but can't find any problems.

Do you have any ideas?

Thank you so much! Chris Furrow

Works fine here on Linux.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and remove the cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Clear the cache":

  • Firefox/Options/Preferences -> Advanced -> Network -> Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove the cookies" from websites that cause problems.

  • Firefox/Options/Preferences -> Privacy -> "Use custom settings for history" -> Cookies: "Show Cookies"

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block (wanted) content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then always make sure such extensions do not block (wanted) content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

There are a lot of script dependencies and as I allowed more third party servers (e.g., fontawesome.com) the CPU usage shot up and Firefox froze. So I won't be checking again...

cor-el, thanks for your help! It doesn't seem to be a browser cache or content blocking issue, but I appreciate your advice.

jscher2000, that's strange, that's not a normal occurrence, but thank you for checking.

This looks wrong:

.site-header, .site, .site-footer--fixed {
   opacity: 0;
}

Check 1.
