This is something I posted a year ago and I haven't verified that it's still true, so please let me know your results. Since you are mostly concerned about the footer, you can focus on the "print_edge_bottom" preference(s). ---- This is hidden and a little obscure... Firefox stores properties for each of your printers, including the "unwriteable" margin distance and the "edge" distance. Changing either of these seems to have the same effect in my limited testing. (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful. (2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''edge''' and pause while the list is filtered (3) Double-click the '''print.printer_''BrandX''.print_edge_top''' preference and enter your desired distance in hundreds of an inch. For example: 10 => 1/10 inch 25 => 1/4 inch In a different tab, use print preview to test that there is now that amount of space between the top edge of the paper and the page title. (4) Repeat for the '''print.printer_''BrandX''.print_edge_bottom''', '''print.printer_''BrandX''.print_edge_left''' , and '''print.printer_''BrandX''.print_edge_right''' preferences. If the edge preferences do not exist, or to hedge your bets, you can set the '''print.printer_''BrandX''.print_unwriteable_margin_bottom''', '''print.printer_''BrandX''.print_unwriteable_margin_left''' , '''print.printer_''BrandX''.print_unwriteable_margin_right''', and '''print.printer_''BrandX''.print_unwriteable_margin_top''' preferences similarly.
