Connection timed out on website. Tried clearing cache/cookies. No proxy. Internet Explorer. Still unable to access. Please help. Website is working.
I get Connection Timed Out on these websites: energy-medicine-software.com and energy-medicine.info. I tried clearing the cache/cookies. I put in No Proxy. I tried Internet Explorer and still unable to access. I rebooted my computer. I know that this website is active because I contacted the webmaster and he says that it's active at his end. What else can I do to access this site? Thanks!

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Hi Guigs2 - I tried your suggestions, but no luck. Thanks for your reply.
Hi Cor-el - Would any of these programs conflict with my Norton Internet Security? Also, would it be malware if I'm unable to access these websites with a different computer in the house too? I'm thinking it could be a problem with the cable company. I'm going to try and call them on Monday. I'll wait for your reply to try the programs you suggest. Thanks for your help!
Also, I remember accessing one of these websites and there were pictures that would take me to another site. After that I was unable to access it again. So, it that malware?
Thanks for all your help!
How did the scans go yesterday?
Hi Guigs2, I've tried the Malwarebytes and the Microsoft Safety Scanner so far. MWB picked up about a dozen threats, MSS no threats.
I've been trying to go back to where I had the problem and figure it out. It may be a Google+ problem. That's the last site I was on before all this happened. I was clicking on some photos and then I was no longer able to access any of this company's websites. https://plus.google.com/107812963314912576210/posts?fww=1
The cable company said it was a computer issue.
I'll continue with the different malware software to see what else it finds.
I also, had this error message today (attached) when accessing a picture from the website above that was in my photos. Not sure if it is related to my problem or not.
Thanks for your help!
Some added toolbar and anti-virus add-ons are known to cause Firefox issues. Disable All of them.
Hi, Just wanted to update on my progress. I did another system restore and it opened a can of worms! I ended up with the Bloodhound maIPE virus, but Norton removed it. There were also many more that Norton didn't catch before, but has now removed. I will be calling a computer tech to come to our house to make sure there are no more threats.
I appreciate everyone's help in this matter. But, I understand now that I need more help in this matter.
Hope everyone has a great week! And thanks for being here! Keep up the good work. Sandy :)
Make sure you install several add / mal-ware scanners and run them all once in a while. Also;
It’s very sad, but many of the software down-loaders / installers will trick you into installing not only their program, but other programs as well. You have heard of the fine print in shady contracts, right? Well, some installers you need to look at the itsy bitsy teeny weeny fine print. You are thinking you are giving the installer permission to install the program you want by using the recommended option. But if you use the Manual Option Instead, you discover all kinds of stuff that you do not even know what it is or what it does. From now on, everyone needs to Use The Manual Option to put a stop to this.
Hi Cor-el, I wanted to share with you about what the computer tech did to restore my computer. He did go into Bleepingcomputer.com and run the Adwcleaner and that corrected the problem. I'm now able to access the websites that I was unable to before.
So, it took Norton, Malwarebytes and Adwcleaner to remove the threats that caused the problem. I really accept having this support group to turn to and I hope that answering this replay will help someone else!
Thanks so much for all your support! Sandy :)
