Firefox 31. At a log in screen, the username and password will not auto populate, much like other versions of FF have spoiled me. All of these sites did not have an issue in previous versions.

Password is remembered, only one username and password for site (multiple sites behave the same way.) Checked the page info, it shows that I have saved passwords for this site. I have tried the "remember password" link. (access page, enter info, do not sub, hit bookmark) does not work. I do not use a master password. Never had to. All signon. config settings are true, except debug and proxy

The website might be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving form data like name and password. Current Firefox versions ignore autocomplete="off" and offer to store the name and password, but Firefox won't auto-fill saved form data automatically when autocomplete=off is used, so you need to double-click the empty name field to get a drop-down list or start typing the name.

But, this occurs at multiple sites. And supposedly the remember password removes the autocomplete=off for you Removed autocomplete=off from 0 forms and from 1 form element, and removed onsubmit from 1 form. After you type your password and submit the form, the browser will offer to remember your password.' Now I do get the drop down if I double click or start typing. But even after selecting a username the password does not populate.

Does the password get entered if you press the tab key to go to that field?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

I have the same problem. But I discovered that Form Filling add-ons are not effected by autocomplete=off.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.
