Bookmark Backup (Items Question)
Good Morning,
I am curious. When searching through backup in the bookmark section. Firefox keeps a list of backups in Crtl+Shift O.
In the restore file, under restore and backup, it shows ( 959 bytes - 11 items).
The 11 items what are those exactly?
When deleting browser history, nothing in the number changes. I am just wanting to make sure that the 11 items are in fact "Book Mark" related and not browser history related. My partner is accusing me of deleting "Items" or clearing my browser history. Since she can't see 11 items in there she assumes I deleted things or used a private browser...

This file contains only Bookmarks, perhaps only default ones.
You can see inside it if you open the .json file in Firefox, it includes the basic bookmarks directory structure that cannot be deleted. I can get it down to 5 items consisting of root, menu, toolbar, unfiled and mobile folders.
Items in the name of a bookmarks.jsonlz4 backup means the total of bookmarks and bookmark folders and separators.
The name of an automatically created JSON bookmarks backup in the bookmarkbackups folder includes a total item count (folders and separators included) and an hash value to prevent saving the same backup more than once. You also see this count in the Restore menu drop-down list.
- bookmarks-YYYY-MM-DD_<item count>_<hash>.jsonlz4.
