Firefox takes a long time to be responsive on first start

I'm having the exact same problem that

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1157490

firefox itself opens and loads within seconds perfectly fine,[...] But when I try to go to any website, it takes ages to load and function normally. [...]

Once it has loaded the website(s) it functions completely normally

As the solution in that thread was a full format I'm reopening this to find a more precise solution.

I tried everything on that thread without success. Deactivated every plug-in and the problem persist. Running in safe-mode corrects the problem.

I attach an image of the profiler (I can send the full profile if needed)

Very good!

I created a second user and installed the add-ons I use regularly and Firefox still opened normally, which made it clear that it was something in my usual user installation.

I tried about:support -> Reset Firefox. It didn't solve the problem.

So I uninstalled firefox with synaptic by checking the option Completely uninstall but the problem was only resolved until I manually removed the folders

/home/user/.mozilla/firefox /home/user/.cache/mozilla/firefox

Even completely uninstalling Firefox doesn't remove those folders, which I think should be normal behavior.

Problem Solved! Thanks!

If running in Safe Mode corrects the issue, it sounds like an add-on. Not sure what OS, but I would log into another account, then open Firefox to see if you have the same issue.

The OS is Linux Mint Cinnamon 20.2, by the way.
