After moving the profile back from another computer to the original PC I was using, I find that Thunderbird will stop being able to get new emails and it seems to "hang" while trying to get emails after it's been open for awhile. It will download emails when it's initially open but after 10-15 minutes, when it attempts to grab messages from the email server, the green status bar in the bottom right hand corner of the program will stay illuminated and the program will be stuck trying to download messages. The program itself appears responsive (I can open already downloaded emails and read them) but when I close Thunderbird, the program will stay open in the background for about 3 minutes and then I'll get the crash report notification. I already tried compacting folders and deleting the master index but none of these things will fix the issue. Is there anything else that can be done to fix a corrupted profile?

Can you post the crash URLs from Help/Troubleshooting Information? The most common cause of hangs and crashes is antivirus. What is yours, and is it set to scan the mail folders or secure connections?

Sure, here is the most recent crash report: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/4530e4fd-5de1-41bf-8507-a75710200102

For anti-virus, I'm using NOD32 and MalwareBytes. I had the same thing running on the computer I transferred the profile from and it had been working fine on there.

Not sure exactly where the problem lies, but the Modules section of the report indicates issues with zlib (compression routine), fzshellext.dll (FileZilla shell extension) and coolkeypk11.dll (SmartCard). If you have the TB profile excluded from NOD32 and MWB, they shouldn't be a problem, but just the same I suggest running in Windows safe mode to see if startup apps are causing this issue.

There is also a Bugzilla reference.

Hmm I removed Filezilla...The other software was installed on here before the issue started. Strangely enough, if I start with a blank profile, everything works fine.

A fresh profile may be the best approach, and transferring data from the old profile incrementally to avoid the chance of reintroducing corrupted mail folders.
