Hi - please help with: Not keen on the 'recommended by pock' used to have history - can I get back to that setting? on my mobile phone
HI,
My android mobile phone has the Firefox upgraded today. The new default layout shows the Top Sites with the 8 pinned & favorite sites. Now below that it has the "Recommended by Pocket" - which are articles that may or may not interest me. Before the update it used to show the other sites I have visited [seemed to be based on the frequency of being opened] - is there any way I can get back to that and switch off the Pocket recommendations?
I did try to look at the suggested help, but I couldn't see anything there.
With thanks,
Richard

oh, i'm very sorry didn't read closely enough and thought your question was filed under firefox for desktop. on android you can adjust that when you go to settings > general > home > top sites.

hi richard, when you click on the cogwheel icon on the top right of the new tab page, you can disable the recommendations by pocket and add more of the top sites that are based on your history to show up.
Hi again
Thank you for the quick response - unfortunately its not helping. On the landing page for Firefox I don't see a cog wheel in top right hand corner. It has a speaker & a 'X'. I have an old version of android [version 4.3] on a Samsung S III could that be influencing it? Thanks Richard
