How do I clear browser history when using custom settings for history?

When my history option is set to "Use custom settings for history", the options page does not have the link to "clear your recent history". There used to be a menu option, but that appears to be gone now with Firefox 29. Is my only option to access the Clear All History dialog to change the History option to Remember history, and then change it back? Is there some other way to access the Clear All History option?

I believe you can get the menu bar back by pressing the Alt key. If you want it back permanently, click View > Toolbars and check Menu bar.

Note that you can drag the History button out of the "3-bar" Firefox menu button container to a toolbar to have easier access to this button via the Customize mode.
