T'bird Menu Truncated
On occasion, when I want to quit T'bird, and I go to the Thunderbird menu list, I am offered ONLY three options. They are 'About Thunderbird', 'Options ...', and 'Quit'. But 'Quit' does not work and I have to force quit the program. I use Macbook Pro mid-summer 2010, with OS X 10.6.8 and T'bird 24.1.1

... sorry if I asked the question twice. But I'd ask it a dozen times unless someone can direct me to a 1-800 number I could call to get it resolved. I've been asking the same question for over a year and it appears Mozilla/T'bird could care less about my problem!
Attitude.... There is no phone support, and if you have been asking the question for a year in this manner you would already have been told that.
We are Volunteers here. No one is paying us to answer questions, so multiple posting of the same thing is almost certain to do nothing but annoy people so they ignore you. Quite counter productive really.
Now your question. Could it be no one has any idea what your talking about? I know I don't. I use windows and Linux. The same can be said, I think, of all regular contributors. I am not aware of any that use OSX.
So I have no concept of what program list your talking about, let alone anything else. Force quitting indicated the program is hung, but you make no mention of that. Are you closing it after a period of hibernation perhaps?
… sorry about any insult I may have caused. Now about my issue. I use Mac and have all my life; don’t know anyone who uses Windows or Linux. But I have used T’bird for ten years or more and have been completely satisfied with it (although the last few updates have been problematic so I have stayed with 24.1.1. Maybe that’s part of the problem.)
… if I can, I’ll attach a screen shot to show the issue as it occurs. The thing is it doesn’t happen every time I want to quit T’bird; only about 20% of the time. The image shows the only three choices listed under the Thunderbird menu and as I noted, "Quit" doesn't work when this situation appears.
… I don’t know what you mean by asking for a ‘program list’? Are you looking for a list of all the applications on my computer?
… I didn’t know Mozilla/Thunderbird was volunteer-driven. I’d just assumed it was like all the other forums I’ve posted to, where someone from the company usually monitors and responds. So I understand why my persistence can be annoying. Thing is, while I have had great luck with T’bird, if this thing persists, I’ll have to switch to Mac’s “Mail” program and I don’t care much for it.
