Downloaded update for Firefox and now I can't get rid of AOL. I have tried to delete anything associated with AOL and when restart Firefox.....there's AOL again. I even reinstalled Firefox.......there it was again.

Where does AOL show up -- home page?

I think the first thing to check is whether you have any AOL-related add-ons. These might override your regular settings. You can review and disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions here:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category

Note that in most cases, you need to use the Restart Firefox link to actually deactivate the extension you chose to disable.

Next, to fix your home page, try the steps in this article: How to set the home page.

If there is a problem with your search providers being switched from Google to AOL, try this extension:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/searchreset/

Any improvement?

Thank you, thank you. All better now. I had lost all control of home page, etc. It was in the addons. Thank you again.
