Button disappears on Elance Website
Using elance.com, when either placing a bid or sending a message, there is a link saying 'Add Attachment +' Normally you click this and it should expand to show a 'Browse' button, however about 90% of the time it only shows for an instant before disappearing.
Very rarely the browse button stays and when it doesn't the only way I've found to get it back is to hard refresh several times until it does.
Does anyone know what might be the problem here?
I found no help using the Elance support.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
In Safe Mode the problem is exactly the same. My appearance is already the default.
Are you able to replicate the problem or is it something specific to me?
I am suffering the problem for the past six months and have found no solution. I use Mint Linux 13 and Firefox 20. The Elance box says the problem is to do with improper Adobe Flash. I tried in different ways, but nothing helps.
The only solution to the problem is to use another browser like Chrome. Although Chrome uses the same Flash as Firefox uses, there is no problem with the disappearing button.
Hope someone in Firefox team will read this and try to figure out a proper solution.

I have taken to using the firefox addon 'Flash OnOff' this doesn't fix the problem but when I want to attach something, I turn flash off then click the 'attachment' link. This forces elance to use its alternative uploading method. So instead of a 'Browse' button showing up you get an 'Attach' button. -It is annoying to note that this attach button also tends to disappear, but unlike the browse button, the attach button will reappear by moving the cursor over where it supposed to be.
Such as it is, it is the best workaround I have found to the problem! Let me know if you have a better one...
Thanks for sharing. I tried out the solution you provided and can confirm that it works well. Additionally, it works without having to restart the browser.
