You can remove those reports from the ~/.mozilla/firefox/Crash Reports directory without any problems.

My laptop and my desktop computers have both begun (since late last year) to stall with cpu usage in task manager usually at 100%. I have all the latest updates for XP. Firefox and I.E. and every time I power up or restart one of the computers I get popup windows for Adobe or some other application with an update request. I have Norton 360 on both systems.

The other night I started searching through the systems (in New Jersey, instead of getting ready to leave for Wisconsin- where I am now) and found \Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\pending with constant (many times each minute now) and the file, which I deleted at around 12:24 (just after midnight) when it had almost 301,000 files ("crash dump file" and "EXTRA file") was around 3 GB!!!

It is now almost 7 MB and around 500 files!!!

What is wrong?
