How do I stop several junk emails per day that are coming from mail-in-a-box?
I get 2-4 emails per day from construction "estimating services", probably because I previously owned a contracting company, which no longer exists. They appear to be from mail-in-a-box. How do I stop these? Is it safe to go to mail-in-a-box website to request stop, or will that merely incur more emails?

I thought the valid and functional stop method was a legal US requirement for marketing emails. So why would it be unsafe?

The "marketing emails" universe is a frigging war zone, where rules/ requirements are just something to work around. Part of my question was that I don't understand what mail-in-a-box actually is, but I think they are probably an app that allows entities to set up their own email untraceable server, which means that scammers/ spammers can set up an email phishing system sending out thousands of untraceable emails per day. I did more research on the several construction estimating emails per day that clog my inbox. It is indeed a complete scam which wastes hundreds of hours per day of legitimate business owners in a lot of industries. This one happens to target the construction business. So far there does not seem to be any way to stop it. Aaaargh!!!
This junk is never going to stop. So if the mail volume is so high that is major problem, you should just get a new email address, perhaps even with a different domain.

I was trying to find a way to stop a specific type of email (construction estimating services) and I thought it might be coming from a platform that allows scammers to set up untraceable phishing emails, and that if I could access that system there might be a way to stop them at their source.
After two or more hours of research yesterday, it appears that might be how these scammers are structuring their email output but, unfortunately, you are right. There is no easy way, or any way, to turn them off.
I closed my business three years ago but there are so many email lists out there that persist in thinking I have a business that I get endless solicitations. The other persistent emails are from finance companies offering to loan me money.
One of the main culprits is Google, who after numerous requests still has a listing and no doubt has passed my info to others.
I will eventually change my email address, which is going to be a very time consuming endeavor, worth it in the long run.
