Transfer Firefox profile from old Windows 7 PC to new Windows 10 PC

I had considerable problems transferring the profile from an old Windows 7 PC to a new Windows 10 machine. I posted a question in the forum here but it seems to have got lost, and there have been no replies.

I've managed to solve the problem, thankfully. I was unable to successfully transfer the entire profile, so I set up the email account on a new profile, and simply copied over the abook.mab and history.mab files, and the 'Local Folders' folder. All the online messages were available via IMAP of course. Very simple in the end!
