Lost logons and passwords with Firefox update

more options

Hi!

After an update of Firefox was performed I no longer have all my logons and password data available. I am running Win10 64-bit system. There was a folder created on my desktop labeled 'Old Firefox Data'. Is there a file in this folder that contains the logon info that I can copy to my current Firefox install?

Hi mitch8, Click the Menu button , click Help and select Troubleshooting Information. The Troubleshooting Information tab will open. Under the Application Basics section next to Profile Folder, click Open Folder. Your profile folder will open. Close Firefox.

Open the folder "Old Firefox Data"

To prevent any loss of data, do not Move any files - only copy/paste.

Copy and paste logins.json from the "Old" folder to your current folder.

Copy and paste key4.db from the "Old" folder to your current folder.

Close both file explorer windows and launch Firefox.

Select Menu -> Logins & Passwords

Enter your Master Password and view your information.

You can keep the "Old Firefox Data" folder as a backup of your Profile.
