When creating a new mail and typing the mail addresses then a wheel appears (with rainbow colours) and everything slows down. The functionality is still there, just much slower than in the past. Here is what I already tried: I deactivated Add-ons, but no change. I compressed all folders but no change.

In other words: When I want to send a mail to e.g. [email protected] then I start typing in "Joh".... and wait for Thunderbird to complete the address, but this takes many many seconds. So it seems to be related to a slow access to the database. How can one improve this?

Thanks

thanks, I tried to search for this option but was not able to find it in this connection. However, I found the checkbox: (translated to english) "use an other LDAP server" which I put to "none". This solved the problem reproducible.

Thanks a lot.
