Firefox quit running on entire domain 20160913

On 9/13/2016 we noted that every instance of Firefox quit working on all machines in our Windows Active Directory domain. The program crashes immediately on loading. To troubleshoot, we have:

1. rebooted machines 2. attempted safe mode 3. attempted new instances without an existing profile 4. Reinstalled new versions 5. scanned for malware 6. disabled software restriction group policies

None of the steps taken have had any effect. Primary OS is Windows 7, both x86 & x64

Symantec/Norton did an update last night and since then many users have reported problems.They are working on it.
