My folder and sub folders are not showing my emails but they are there
When I look at one of my account folder I get a red background only. If I run the repair folder on the main folder and/or the sub folders, I can see the emails but the repair only lasts while I have the folder open and all folders and sub folders for that account are affected. My other accounts are fine.

try disabling your anti virus from scanning the Thunderbird profile folder. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-tb#w_where-is-my-profile-stored
