This can speed up browsing by: #blocking ads #blocking tracking cookies #prevent trackers and analytics from loading, dramatically increasing browsing speed I suggest in Ghostery's settings, to block all beacons (useless for webpages, just for tracking), block all ads, and block all analytics. And under cookies in Ghostery's settings, block the beacons cookies, analytics, and ad cookies. This will for sure increase browsing speed! This should enable Firefox to make better use of an internet connection. One more thing: you should try out an experimental Firefox cache feature that will be default in a future Firefox version.
