Soundcloud.com says I have a Flash blocker installed but I don't.

Firefox 24.0 running on Windows 7 Service Pack 1.

Soundcloud.com says "It looks like you have a Flash blocker browser setting or extension. Please enable Flash to hear sound." I can't find anything in my add-ons named "Flash blocker" or any similar name. The Flash add-on itself is enabled. I did have VLC Web Plugin 2.1.0.0 enabled but I disabled it and restarted Firefox. But that didn't help.

I also cleared the browser cache and reloaded the Soundcloud page as instructed in another thread. That didn't help either.

What do I try next? Thanks in advance!

Type about:addons in URL and Open

  • Addons Manager > Plugins
    • set all plugins to "Always Activate"

hello, it seems as if you have set flash content to not play automatically in firefox > addons > plugins. while you're on soundcloud.com right-click somewhere on the page, go to view page info > permissions and make sure that adobe flash content is allowed to play on that domain...

All add-ons were already activated. I did deactivate the VLC Media Plugin to see if that would solve the problem, but it didn't.

On view page info -> permissions I changed Adobe Flash from "use default" to "allow". That solved the problem (at least for now). Thank you.
