I can't get FireFox to open. It says it is running and I need to close the windows. But can't even get it to open to do anything. I have rebooted and cleaned the cache--nothing helps. It won't let me uninstall--says I have to close the windows that it is already running. I can't close anything when the page won't come up. I can't uninstall or re-install it won't open to do anything. Need help..Thank you My icon for Mozilla Firefox is on the start up page but when I click on it--I get nothing.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
