Hello,

I need some help.

For the past week or so I've been having some problems with Firefox 7.0.1

I open a window and start using Google or other sites and everything works fine. I use it for maybe 15 mins, 30 mins an hour or so and then links don't open, searches don't return a result.

The page usually hangs where it was before it stopped working but the get the swirling ring on the tab above to show that it is trying and the connecting to .... at the bottom right of the screen.

Firefox doesn't freeze up, it just stops opening links and doesn't browse.

I am on Windows 7, Firefox 7.0.1, any more information needed let me know.

I've downloaded Chrome and tested on IE and those don't suffer from the same problem, so it does seem to be FF specific.

I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling FF but the problem is still the same.

It's really annoying because I want to get back to using FF.

Thanks Nick

The default of the pref network.http.max-connections has been increased from 30 to 256 in Firefox 6+ versions.

Try to decrease the value of the pref network.http.max-connections from 255 to a setting like 30 as used in Firefox 3 versions.

Cheers for that Cor-el.

I've made the change, hopefully that will fix it!
