Is it possible to update Firefox via the commandline with no user interaction?
All my users run as standard users on either Windows XP or Windows 7. I would like to run a batch file to update Firefox since my users can't do it themselves.
I would also like to disable automatic updates and notifications.
Any help would be appreciated.

You can update a Firefox version and don't restart automatically, but close Firefox to see which files are required and make a backup copy of them and use them to update other computers.
You need write permission to the Firefox program folder to install the update (run as Administrator).

C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates\0 (%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox)
update.mar (renamed update partial/complete.mar) update.status: pending (0x0A,Unix line ending) (in Firefox: data:text/plain,pending%0A) update.version: xx.xx (version to update to: 7.0.1)
You can lock the update prefs to false if you want to prevent users from updating.
