Smartphone tethering on 5g
I only go out on the inet from my desktop a few times a month so I previously just tethered the phone and got online that way.
I just upgraded to a new Samsung Galaxy S24 which is a 5g connection. I can no longer get the desktop Firefox (130.0) to connect thru to the inet. The phone and desktop know about each other and I can xfer files back and forth. The phone uses Firefox android no palm.
Has anyone tried this yet? Is there some kind of phone setting for 5g? I had no trouble at all with old phone (android 4) 4g connection.
Thanks in advance

I posted a reply here once already. It seems to have been dropped when I tried to close out this thread. So here goes one more time.
I got in touch with Puretalk tech support. On a 5g network hotspot is only available for iphones.
I am going to resurrect my old Note4 on a new line, new phone #, and use it pretty much just for inet access for my desktop and emergency backup for the new S24. Less than half the expense of a full-time provider for the little I use it.

Hi
Are you able to make telephone calls using your Android device?
