My address book with my contacts/groups has disappeared. I know it has to be somewhere in the system because when I start an email with address, I put in the first two letters and the full address appears.

are you meaning the one in the compose window? Press F9
Thank you for response. No, compose window brings up emails from what was my address book with contacts. It's the address book that has disappeared. A problem when I want to add contacts to groups.
what error do you get when you click tools>address book in menu bar?
