Ad and pop blocking on Firefox Daylight
I have Firefox Daylight 83.1.0 on one android-using cell phone and FIrefox Daylight Firefox Daylight 81.1.4 on another android-using cell phone. On neither can I see a way to enable ad blocking and popup blocking as I can on my Dell and Lenovo laptops, which run Windows and Firefox. Are these options available for my cell phone using Firefox? If so, how do I access them? Thanks.

Go to menu -> Addons and install uBlock Origin.
Thanks for the suggestion, and uBlock Origin might be a very fine program, but I'm not sure it's what I'm looking for in this case.
A lot of the description for uBlock Origin that I read when I select it as add-on is incomprehensible to me. It starts out by saying something to the effect that it is not an ad blocker, but an ad blocker is what I want.
On my laptops, ad blocking and pop up blocking seem to be options included with Firefox. I like that and use that feature. Are those options available on the versions of Firefox I'm using on my cell phones? If so, how can I access them? If not, are there other versions of Firefox that I can put on my cell phone that do have these options? If so, how do I access them?
Thanks in advance for helping clear this up for me.
Hi
If you open the Settings option from the Firefox for Android menu, you should see an option for Enhanced Tracking Protection.
You can set this to the level you want (or turn it off) to block pop-ups and tracking in web content.
I hope that this helps.
When I go to Firefox settings on my Android-using cell phone, I see that Enhanced Tracking is designated as "on." When I go to Enhanced Tracking, I see three main options: standard, strict and custom, all of which apply to Enhanced Tracking Protection. Only one, the strict level, says anything about blocking ads and popups. (Which is passing strange, first because ads and popups aren't necessarily a form of tracking, second because neither of the other two main options main mention ads or pop ups).
I have the third main option selected: custom. I also have all of the four suboptions under that option activated: blocking cookies (all third party cookies), tracking content (in all tabs), cryptominers and fingerprinters.
From what I see here, if I want to block ads and popups, I must change from custom to strict, but then I lose the ability to block all third cookies, tracking content in all tabs, cryptominers and fingerprinters.
Isn't there a way I can have all of these protections: ad blocker, popup blocker, blocking all third party cookies, blocking tracking content in all tabs, blocking cryptomines and blocking fingerprinters? That's the way I have it on Firefox on my laptops.
Thanks in advance of the information.
