too many bookmarks for Android sync?
lets' say I have more than the allotted number of bookmarks (5000). I have no idea how many are on my desktop, but I'd guess way less than 5000, but I dunno. I can't find a way to check the number. What methods can I use to get the important ones over?

Is this on a Windows O.S.?
I'm going to assume it is in INTERNET EXPLORER find settings >tools>export bookmarks it will promp you to use html or text for the export pick text export file to a location you can easily find manually edit the file by removing the bookmarks you dont need while keeping the format of the file intact after that save file go back to settings choose import bookmarks click it and you should have all the bookmarks you removed from file gone ..hope it helps...

Firefox Sync is designed to move all your bookmarks between devices and cannot be used selectively.
If you have a large numebr of bookmarks it may take a little longer to sync.
the sync messed my organization on the desktop, so I disabled on both devices and went to a back up.

There is no easy way to move the bookmarks across that I am aware of outside of Firefox Sync.
If you have a few particular bookmarks, you could email yourself a list, open the email on the mobile device and open the links to then save them, but I appreciate that this is impractical if there are many.
