How can I add a new address book and migrate existing contacts to it? PLEASE?

I need to add an address book for clients only so that I can export it to other applications. Is there a way to transfer contacts from my existing personal list to the new one without typing them in one at a time. Even if I could transfer the entire existing list and then delete the ones I don't want without deleting them from my personal address book, that would be a big help. Thanks.

Open the address book window. Select File-New-Address Book to create a new book. Now click the folder for the existing book so it displays in the main window. Select the contacts you want to move and drag and drop them on the new books folder. Hold the control key while clicking contacts to select more than one at a time.

Using the above suggestion might be easier where you can clean up the unwanted contacts in Excel. This also gives you a csv. file as a backup for your address book.

You can export and import address books via the TBird Address Book module.

The option to import and export is located in Menu>Tools

Just open your TBird address book.

Select the one you want to export and save as .csv file. To ensure you selecting the right address's, you can click on an address and then Select All.

Then export them as a .csv file to an easy location like in "my documents"

Afterwards you can import or view via excel, that .csv file.

Next, be sure to set the file fomat for .csv files as your browse to my folder to import its data.
