'When I close Firefox, the windows closes normally, but firefox.exe still appears in Processes in Task Manager. I have to End Process to open

Firefox again, and it goes to Restore Last Session page.'

Use one of these to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox title bar.

  • "3-bar" menu button -> Exit (Power button)
  • Windows: File -> Exit
  • Mac: Firefox -> Quit Firefox
  • Linux: File -> Quit

Sometimes when FF is closing, not all of it shuts down properly. On Windows, start the Task Manager. (Other systems may have different names and / or commands). Select Processes. Look down the list for Firefox. Right click and select End Task. If this problem keeps coming up, ask for more help.
