Thunderbird keeps crashing on and on even in the safe mode.
Thunderbird keeps crashing on and on after start up and even in the safe mode. This way I can't use Thunderbird anymore. I also tried to reinstall the software, but this doesn't help either. Ok, but this is a still unresolved bug!
there are suggested workarounds in there, and seriously I would suggest you install an older version. But other than that I can not fix it for you.
Yesterday I was ready to try an install of an older version, but Thunderbird didn't crash all of a sudden. However I missed my calender, it appears all extensions and plug-ins were disabled. Now I've enabled just a few extensions again and it keeps on working till now! :-) So I hope the older version won't be necessary anymore. Thanks for your help!
Unfortunately, the good news was of short duration. :( Today again crash after crash. So I deinstalled the latest version and installed Thunderbird Setup 31.0 with no different result.
Now I've installed version Thunderbird Setup 24.3.0, it's a big downgrade, but so far it works.
have you disabled any message filters?
I had disabled them in the latest version and after being stable I enabled them back again, it wasn't a problem for about 2days!? Do you think the problem is caused by a filter?
