Why is Firefox 34.0 not compatible with Flashlock add-on?
I updated to Firefox 34.0 and then learned that it is incompatible with Flashblock (1.5.17). Being able to block flash content from running is important to me. Why is this functionality no longer working?

hello jhuller, the flashblock addon is known to cause issues on the new version - its developer would need to provide an update for it. as an alternative you could use an addon like https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/click-to-play-per-element/

The developer has now updated Flashblock to work with Firefox 34.
Flashblock for me does not allow any silverlight to run, whether I choose the 'silverlight' option or not, or whitelist the site.
Are you sure its Flashblock? Go to its icon, and click it to turn it off.
Turning it off still prevents the silverlight from playing. Only disabling it entirely does the job.
Also, I found some flash sites where it blocked the element before offering me the "circle" to click on to activate the item.
