Hi,

I'm a web developer who has just recently started using Firefox again after a two year leave. I'm pretty impressed with version 8 and have started doing some development work however I need to test some pages in older versions of Firefox since my visitors still use versions <8. Is there any options that allow me to specify which version of Firefox I'd like to render the page in? There are a number of CSS styles that I need to test in both version 7 and 8.

I believe the links you provided allows me to download an older copy? What I'm asking for is a way to tell my current version to view a page using an older version. This same option is available in IE if you go to their developer tools (F12) then go to Browser Mode and Document Mode. Is this available in Firefox?

No, Firefox doesn't have a compatibility mode to view pages with older Firefox versions.
You will have to install additional Firefox versions if you want to test websites with that other version.
IE doesn't allow to install multiple versions, but with Firefox there is no such problem.

Do a custom install and install each version in its own program folder to use multiple Firefox versions.

Create a new profile exclusively for each Firefox version.

Create a desktop shortcut with -P "profile" appended to the target to launch each Firefox version with its own profile.
