I have install FF mobile on my small Android based phone (a Motorola Flipout, though I don't think the exact make/model is my problem here) and I'm liking what I see so far, but I'm finding tabs unusable.

Swiping to the right brings up the tabs side-bar, but (which-ever orientation I have my screen) if I have more than two tabs open this takes up the whole screen, meaning that once a tab is selected by tapping the right thumbnail I can not touch the page to swipe left to remove the tabs side-bar and get back to the page I have selected.

Am I missing something obvious, or are such small screens simply not supported? (I can't see anything about a minimum screen resolution requirement anywhere obvious in the FF mobile main pages) Is there another way to close the tabs side-bar that I've missed? (I've tried things like double-tap and long tap on the tab thumbnails and so forth, but so far found nothing that has that effect).

Do you know which version of Firefox for Android you have installed? While we haven't done a lot of work yet on making the user interface fit on small screens, there are some improvements in the latest version from the Android Market, compared to some of the earlier beta versions.

This is definitely an area that still needs some work, and we'll try to improve it in future versions.

I believe I'm using the release version (it was added to the phone via marketplace a few days after the release announcement), which marketplace claims is uptodate.
