The bookmark box does not appear, bookmarks straight to the bottom of the list
When I use the Bookmarks menu at the top of the page, hit Bookmark this page, the little box that USED to popup to assign what catagory folder the bookmark is to go into, does not appear. the page is bookmarked, but goes on the bottom of the list, instead of into a catagory folder. Having MANY catagory folders, I am forced to scroll down several times to see the book mark! JUST started doing this when Firefox updated to 3.6. Any fixes for this?

Hello.
It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in safe mode (don't forget to select Disable all add-ons when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See this article for information about troubleshooting extensions and themes and this one for plugins.
If you need support for one of your add-ons, you'll have to contact its author.
If the problem is not disappears when all add-ons are disabled, please tell me, so we can work from there. Please have no fear of following my instructions to the line, as all can be easily undone.
Odd thing happened. I didn't do safe mode, but did disable all addons. 1st odd thing, the Page Bookmark dialog box came back, HOWEVER, it is in the far top left corner. I think the box went off screen as I could save bookmarks, just never got the dialog box. So, now, can I reposition it back to the upper center as before? Cursor and mouse drags do nothing. I re enabled the addons and the box is now coming up, but, it is near the edge of the screen.
Do you have multiple monitors? That can sometimes cause Firefox to put tooltips and menus in the wrong monitor -- especially if you have it maximized on the secondary monitor.
You may need to rename the localstore.rdf file in your profile.
Help > Troubleshooting info > Open Folder
Then File > Exit in Firefox
Then rename the localstore.rdf file to localstore-backup.rdf
Then restart Firefox. You'll lose all your customizations BUT it'll reset all your window and widget positions which may help.
My problem with bookmarks 3.6.12 is with McAfee site advisor 3.3. Disabled it. Now bookmark dialog box appears as it is suppose too.
