I'd like to disable Send in TB. I prefer to send my outgoing emails via a Send Later function into Outgoing Mail so I can double-check I'm sending to the correct outgoing email address. Can I do this? If Yes, how?

'Send' is auto disable when you put Thunderbird into 'Offline' mode. It then shows 'Send Later' instead.

If you use 'File' > 'Send Later' OR use the shortcut keys 'Ctrl+Shift+Enter' - it puts into Outbox automatically.

If you right click on the Toolbar and select 'Customise' you can drag the 'Send' button off the Toolbar, then you would have to use via 'File' to select an option.

You might also evaluate some addons that may fit. Click tools>addons and in search box, enter 'send' to see several addons that compliment the send function.
