Hi, When creating a filter, we have to choose among the headers From, To, Subject, Body etc. I would like a create a new email header ro show only "From and To". How can I make use of the customize option at the end of the menu to match my goal?

The short answer is you can not do what you want. Filters are restricted to those fields listed in the message header and they can not be concatenated.

This add-on may allow you to achieve that using JavaScript, but you will have to be already proficient with the JavaScript language. https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/filtaquilla/?src=ss

@matt, thanks for replying, surely I'm not familiar with Javascript but I can't understand that the developers of TB placed the option to customize at the end of the list in vain.

Fundamentally there are a lot of email headers. Some standard, others custom from spam filters, Thunderbird itself and other mail servers. Anything delivered to yahoo for instance gets a load of x-Yahoo headers. The customize entry is to add them.
