What happens when you turn uBlock Origin off?

ublock off. changesthere are no changes, I also don't see any site icons after searching.

You may need to add (or re-enable) the "Google Search Fixer" add-on to get the better results layout.

I am not familiar with Yandex in Firefox vs. other browsers.

The "fix" for Google is that the add-on lies to Google and tells it that Firefox is Chrome. Not sure whether a similar lie would work for other sites and, if so, whether the author of that add-on would add them.
