After I restarted my MacBook Pro, something called Advanced Mac Cleaner appeared on my screen. It began scanning my computer. At first, I thought it was something included in an automatic update of the operating system. But then I got suspicious and closed it. Then I searched the web and found that it's not legitimate. The information I found included directions for removing it from Safari, through the "Extensions" section of Safari Preferences. I rarely use Safari, but tried it anyhow, but Safari shows no extensions. I couldn't find anything similar on the Firefox Preferences. What do you know about Advanced Mac Cleaner and how can I get rid of it.

You have a nice little Virus. Do not click anything but official Mac places to look for info. Other sites are Honey Pots to get you to click and get you with something else. ( I know I was just attacked looking for info on it to explain and Malwarebytes stopped it )

If you can find a Uninstaller for it do so. Then let these things clean up the left overs.
