Firefox reads apostrophe as number 39 in narrate mode. Version is 49.0.1 and I use Windows 10 in English with default voice Microsoft Zira. Texts when reader view is selected looks fine.

I am unable to reproduce your issue. Can you please post a link to the page that you are experiencing issues with?

Thanks.

These are 2 pages from different web sources that I used:

http://www.theverge.com/2016/9/27/13071128/sundar-pichai-google-india-op-ed

https://www.engadget.com/2016/09/27/google-for-india-2016-youtube-go/

Reader view shows correct text pages. Narrate mode reads every symbol correct and logical except the apostrophe symbol. Like in the word "it's". Narrate voice reads it as " it #39 s".

Thank you.

The bug fix will come in Firefox 50.

I'm not sure what workaround you can use for Firefox 49, I tried hacking the page by removing the apostrophes but the Reader Mode voice still read them; perhaps it is working from a clean copy saved somewhere I didn't notice.

Thank you all for information.

After I posted this question I noticed one more issue. In the second link that I posted, https://www.engadget.com/2016/09/27/google-for-india-2016-youtube-go/ reader mode in text omits first paragraph from the original. This is also problem on others pages from www.engadget.com where sometimes reader mode omits first and second paragraph. No such problem, for example, at www.theverge.com where texts in reader mode are true to original.
