I'm using a PC laptop, with Windows 8 and the latest version of FireFox and the latest version of Real Player Cloud Downloader. Real Player works fine with IE and Google Chrome. Welcome some advice. Thank you.

Well, it might be worth testing whether HTML5 vs. Flash makes a difference. There are a couple of extensions to force Flash on YouTube. I have no idea which is better:

I'm not familiar with how the Real downloader works. Does it matter whether you use the HTML5 player or the default player?

I use Real Player video player and it works fine. I don't think it makes any difference if I use HTML5 player or the default player. The problem is Firefox prevents Real Player from downloading vids from You Tube. However, it allows Real Player to download easily from other vid sites. Also, Real Player works fine with my IE and Google Chrome browsers to down vids from You Tube.

Until about 3-weeks ago it was all working fine. Firefox then sent some updates to by computer and wiped out the download capability as described above. I really believe the problem is with Firefox.

I hope this helps.
