under "File" is "email link". I want to change my email address in this so I can again mail articles to friends and family. Using the old address does not work

It helped me to confirm that my email default is Thunderbird; but, the only change I could get is to Yahoo or Gmail. I want to use my email account of centurylink.net just as it now has bresnan.net I tried "always ask" but I still could not get the email link to allow me to delete the bresnan.net address.
