Lightning prompts a password entry when trying to complete the addition of my google calendar so I enter it and it does not recognize it - no error message
I copy the private calenndar URL from google calendar, walk through menus on Lightning plug in to install and it prompts me for my google username and password. I enter, and the box flashes for a second and the password entry is blank - like it's not recognizing it.
Please help!
Thanks,
Steve

I have resolved the issue. Google sent me a notice saying that my access was blocked, as an unknown user was attempting to login. When I opened the notification, google suggested i lessen my security if I want non-secure apps to have access. So, I allowed. Then, I re-added calendar, entered my password, voila.
Thanks for your help. Just a securities issue with google - separate from the two factor authentication - this seems more of an overarching security permission switch.

Make sure you allow cookies for google.com in Thunderbird.
I have allowed cookies for google.com - that was allowed prior to your response.
Do you have Google 2-factor authentication enabled?
I do not think so. On Google calendar or Thunderbird? How would I know? The only authentication I am asked is for username and password
I just read about two factor authentication. I do not have that on.
Can you post a screenshot of the password prompt you get? http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-create-screenshot-my-problem
