I really do not understand this at all. Sun Java applets are used by many websites and have been for years.

Why is it that the folks at Mozilla have been unwilling to find a workable solution to this issue? Seems to be to be extremely childish to continue to develop a product that does not service corporate customers needs.

What is the point of have a product that is suppose to be light year better Windows IE?

Rise up Mozilla and provide the user community with what they need and not what you folks believe we need. Lords of the Browser world ... shameful!

I don't understand the problem. Are you saying that Java won't install, or that Firefox doesn't find it on your system after it's installed? It surely would be useful if you mentioned what you've tried so far and where you got stuck.

Meanwhile: Use the Java plugin to view interactive content on websites.

To be sure that you aren't confusing Java and JavaScript.

Update 55 is out for Java 7 this week. Is the problem with that version, or do you have an earlier version installed?

Also, if you only installed 64-bit Java, you will need 32-bit Java for Firefox as Firefox for Windows is a 32-bit application. See: http://java.com/en/download/faq/java_win64bit.xml
